A Spring Day at Nana & Pa-paws

Saturday we headed over to Trophy Club to celebrate Chris's birthday with the family. After we had dinner, Nana, Pa-paw, Chris, Caleb, and I went down to the pond and to the park for a little bit of fun. It was such a BEAUTIFUL day outside and it just reminded me of why I love the springtime so much!! We started off at the pond to feed the ducks. Nana and Pa-paws ducks are a lot friendlier than our ducks!! Some of them started to get a little TOO close!! Even though this duck wasn't afraid of Caleb, my little guy wasn't very interested in feeding the ducks much after the first piece of bread he threw... instead, he decided that he remembered how much he liked bread himself and decided to start eating it instead! Before we got ready to leave the pond we had to capture a few memorable moments on the dock. Thanks to Caleb's Aunt Jen, anytime he sees a camera now he stops for a pose and says "cheese"! After the pond we went to the playground. Caleb loved stomping on the woodchips and climbing on the jungle gym. He's favorite part of the playground though was the slides!!! And he even got to do a little bit of rock climbing! The last place we went before heading back home was the baseball field. Chris taught Caleb how to run the bases and touch each one. It was so sweet to see my boys playing in such a familiar surrounding that I grew up in. It made me excited for the future and the cool spring nights when Chris and I will be sitting on bleachers or in lawn chairs cheering Caleb on!! After sliding into home it started to get dark and Caleb was ready to leave the field. The last few pictures are pretty picture perfect though.... look out world a star is on the rise!! :) Thanks Nana & Pa-paw... we had such a great day with you!!
