“Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.”

After a long drive and what seemed forever of finding our hidden hotel, we finally made it to beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida! The first thing Caleb wanted to do when we got there was explore the new room he had never been in before to see what kind of trouble he could cause! His dad and I had other plans though. Our room had beautiful french doors opening up to lots of tropical plants and trees along with a sidewalk that led right to the dock. The dock extended out quite a ways into the bay and there was this cute little resturaunt called Lime's that sat out in the middle. It was too late for us to eat there because they close at sunset, so we had to load back up in the car and drive into town again to find something to eat. We were so exhausted from the ride so we just came back to the hotel and decided we would start our adventures Tuesday morning! As Tuesday morning came around, it took us a little longer than expected to get ready, because Caleb was still sleeping, so we decided that going to the beach in the heat of the day wasn't the best idea. Instead we got ready and went to Gulf World. The day started out great, but as we were at Gulf World we noticed Caleb's eye had gotten very very red. We took off his cute little swim hat and he was so hot and sweaty that the sunscreen had sweat into his eye! Poor guy! It took a little while to get the sunscreen out, but after we did, he was in a much better mood and was willing to look at all of the animals. After the park we went to grab a bite to eat and headed back to the hotel to get ready for our Sunset Cruise. While we were sailing, we saw several dolphins, but I was too slow with the camera and never got a decent shot of one. This was the one activity we did that Caleb LOVED!! He was so calm and relaxed, I think he will love the water just as much as I do when he grows up! The sail was wonderful. It was very relaxing and low key which is something that Chris and I definitely needed. As we were sailing back into the bay, the Captain and First Mate decided it was time to play some games. They had a contest with who could blow the conch the loudest and hula-hooping for the kids! And one of my favorite moments from that night was when we got home! :) The next morning it was time to get up and head to Point Clear, Alabama, but we had to make a stop at the beach first. Caleb loved playing in the sand, and he liked the sound of the waves, but when we tried to stick his feet in the ocean and the waves came crashing up, he wasn't too sure of that! :) Here are a few pics from the beach! I can't wait to take Caleb back to the beach when he is a little bit older! Next stop: Point Clear, Alabama!
