A Day Out with Thomas

Well, Spring Break has come and gone...  but what an exciting way to kick off Spring Break by taking my little man to see Thomas the Train!!  Maybe because I'm not a boy, or 2 years old for that matter, but I truly don't understand why boys like Thomas so much.  Whatever the reason may be, Caleb LOVES LOVES LOVES him some Thomas.  Mom and Dad came into town to watch Caleb over the break because I was surprising Chris with a trip to Vegas for his big 3-0 birthday (post on that to come later).  Well, needless to say things didn't start off so great.  My parents and Caleb came to meet me at school and as I was opening the door for them Caleb triped and busted his lip, poor guy, and came pretty darn close to cracking his head open too (thank GOD he didn't).  So after a few minutes of crying and lots of attention from Mommy and Grandma, all was right again and we were on our way to see that big blue engine!
There was so much to do and so many things to see we didn't know where to start.  I was hungry like always after a long day of teaching so we hopped in line to see Sir Topham Hat while Grandma went to get us a funnel cake!  We ate the delicious fried treat while waiting in line and waiting for Daddy to show up!

Once Daddy made it we were off and ready to experience the wonderful things that Thomas had to offer and of course like always... we had to stop and take a million pictures along the way!

Notice we were not quite finished with our funnel cake yet!! :)  We walked around for a while and Caleb got to see all the trains (we also got to see him pitch a fit when we had to leave the trains), then we went and bought some souvenirs to remember our day.  After we left the souvenir shop it was time to go for a ride!  Caleb kept saying, "All Aboard!"

Caleb was so content on the train!!  He loved looking out the window and feeling the breeze on his face, dancing to the music that was playing, hearing the horn tooting.... it really was a great way to start the break!

Like I said, Spring Break started off great!!  Caleb was so happy that his Grandma & Grandpa were here and he got to see one of his most favorite shows in real life!!  Stay tuned for more updates about Spring Break!
