Santa, Caleb and a Good Book
UPDATES TO COME!!!! I'm working on our Thanksgiving Break post, but in the meantime enjoy this sweet little picture that was taken tonight with Santa!! I was really worried that this would be the year that Caleb took that AWFUL, everyboy has one, crying on Santa's lap picture... but to my surprise he didn't!!! It started off with Chris bringing him into the mall dead asleep, I mean out like a light. Well, we got him to wake up and while we were standing in line waiting we started talking about Santa's magical place. We looked at all of the glittery stars, presents, and Christmas trees galore! As we got closer to Santa, Caleb started to get a little fussy. I was keeping my fingers crossed the whole time and saying a prayer under my breath to please not let my child be the child that pitches a fit when it's his turn to sit on Santa's lap after waiting in line this whole time. When we were walking up to Santa, Caleb was taking baby steps and just looking at him like "Who the heck is this guy so jolly and fat?!" Then just like always, Santa used his magical ways and reeled my cute little boy in with a good Christmas book!! :) It was absolutely precious and sweet!
So maybe its not a picture of Caleb and Santa saying "CHEESE" or "Merry Christmas" to the camera, but how many kids can say later in the future that Santa read a book with them before Christmas?!
P.S. Santa if you are reading this, Caleb didn't really get to tell you what he wanted for Christmas so he wanted me to let you know that he really like Trains (Thomas specifically but any trains will do) and Mickey Mouse. Also since you are already reading this, I would like to know a really fast and easy way to potty train a 2 year old!!

I think that picture is precious!
Caleb looks so cute and relaxed with Santa. Santa knew he loved books evidently. Merry Christmas and we miss and love you.
Love,
Grandma/Mom
