Date Days: Daddy vs. Mommy

This past week Chris and I each have had the opportunity to enjoy our little man for a day. Caleb's "Second Mommy" Ms. Mandy, had the flu and was not feeling great so Chris and I had to take a turn spending the day with Caleb.  Since I was unable to be with Caleb on Daddy's Date Day, I only have one picture to show you...  hmmmm, funny how THAT works out!!  :) 

On Monday, we got the phone call from Mandy that she wasn't feeling well and that school was going to be closed for the day.  Well as you all know, life as a teacher is not an easy job to be away from.  You can't just pick up the phone and call in and say, "Hey, I'm not going to be at work today, just tell the sub to do whatever."  So, Chris called in and spent the day with Caleb.  After sleeping until about 9:30 and doing some things around the house, they decided to venture out to Peter Piper Pizza.  So Caleb spent the day with Daddy shoving his face full of "izza" and playing games!

Tuesday Ms. Mandy still was not feeling so well so it was Mommy's turn to stay home.  Thank goodness I have amazing teammates who really come through for you in a time of need.  Tuesday morning I decided that I would take Caleb to experience he's very first movie.  I decided to go early because I figured if he didn't make it through it and got fussy, not a lot of people would be there, and if you go early enough it's only half price so no big loss!!  So I packed Caleb up with his favorites (grapes, M&M's, and a cup of milk) and we headed off for Toy Story 3D. 

We got to the movies and my little guy was PASSED OUT!!!  I paid for my ticket, walked in the theatre and NO ONE WAS THERE!!!!!  Caleb and I had the whole place to ourselves, what a PERFECT first movie experience! :)  Caleb decided to wake up and the movie started and he was hooked!

I could not believe how still he was being!!  He loved every minute of it with his grapes in his hand or his M&M's!! 

As Buzz Light-year says, "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!"

What a great way to spend the day with my little guy!  He wasn't a fan of the glasses so you missed a great movie in 3D, but after we left the movies we went to the Disney Store to buy some Toy Story PJs!! :)
