Turning TWO means you get a NEW ROOM!

So recently Caleb took a trip to Illinois (pics to come soon) without us and while he was away we took the time to re-do his room to a "big boy" room. Anyone who knows us, knows that Chris and I are all about sports so it's only natural that our little guy will hopefully follow in our footsteps... if he doesn't that will be ok too but we will probably be a little disappointed. :) So what was once a nursery full of turtles is now a room full of vintage sports!! The room isn't quite done yet, but its a work in progress and Caleb seems to love it!!
So this is C's new bed! The comforter was not exactly what I had in mind, but it's starting to grow on me!! The signs on the wall we got from Hobby Lobby and the Babe Ruth one came from Arlington Park when we went to a baseball game one day!

His new bed is a trundle bed so him and his friends will have plenty of sleeping room. Right now though we are using it as storage.

These are a few decorations that we also got from Hobby Lobby! The shadow box is full of vintage sports memorabilia I'm still not sure how i feel about this. Nana is on the hunt for some of Caleb's dad's old baseball tees, but for now we decided to hang the jersey's up! The lamp was also another purchase from Hobby Lobby... I swear that store has everything! :) This might be my favorite part of C's room. So yes, I am a Cubbies fan, BUT this cabbage patch doll is very very special!! It use to be my grandfather's and my mom had bought it for him a long long time ago. When my Grandpa passed away my mom received it back and last year gave it to Caleb. The C is a project I am still thinking about, we'll see how it turns out! :)
Like I said earlier, there's more to come!! Keep checking back! :)

The room is looking great! I can't believe Caleb's big enough to sleep in a "big boy" bed! It's fun to see what you've been up to. Hope you're doing well with school starting again! Would love to catch up some time soon! Blessings!
